SEO or SMM

What is organic marketing?

Organic marketing refers to a marketing strategy that generates traffic to your business naturally, as compared to paid advertising or sponsored posts. Whatever way you choose to market, if it doesn’t involve money directly, it is organic. It can be blog posts, unpaid tweets, guest posts, and even emails! This does not mean no money is spent. You still will be investing in your marketing strategy and the software you’d choose, but you will not be paying for boosting the post itself.

Well, what is the point?

Organic marketing brings you, customers, naturally over time. Instead of advertising directly, you draw your target audience by providing them with the information they have been searching for. If you expect some miracles overnight, though, that doesn’t happen. It can take months or years to get the kind of performance you’ve been needing.

The good thing is, once you have the performance, it’s yours for a long, long time. That’s the thing about organic marketing, it creates permanent traffic pages, blogs, unpaid guest posts, and more for your website.

Different SEO Techniques for optimization:

On-Page Optimization: The first thing to do is to optimize the website for keywords. You can use a keyword throughout your webpage at a 2-3% ratio, and also use the keyword in the file name, the title, description, and the title of the page.

Off-Page Optimization: This optimization can be done by getting backlinks from other relevant websites. For example, you can use one-way backlinks from websites with higher ranking, and just make sure that this link includes the keyword in the anchor text. This increases your chances of higher ranking and brings you quality backlinks.

Black Hat SEO Technique: This technique uses unethical techniques to get higher rankings and offer a bad user experience. They work in the beginning, but websites tend to get banned for using them. It is advisable not to use them.

White Hat SEO Techniques: The opposite of the Black Hat SEO technique, this one involves optimizing the websites according to rules like focusing on user experience, increasing the loading speed of websites, making pages more responsive, and more. This technique is more time-consuming but better than the Black Hat SEO technique.

SEO or SMM?

Simply, both! To gain higher rankings in SERP, more traffic and visibility, you will have to use both SEO and SMM. One needs time and effort, the other needs money, but together, they end up helping you the most. Many businesses try these techniques and it boosts their websites to a high degree. In short, it all comes down to how efficiently you use these techniques.

Before you start, you must know how much you are willing to spend. If you are a small business, you probably wouldn’t want to lose your money on a campaign with no results. So, understand the market, think about techniques that would work best for you, and then plan a campaign.

  • Short-term, Long-term Plan

Now you can start with paid ads, testing new features to see and analyze consumer behavior, see their keywords that match with your websites. After paid stuff, it’s time to invest in organic traffic. Organic traffic will rely on keywords, optimization, and user behavior, and use the analysis to make your website

  • Access competition

You also need to understand the marketing techniques of your competitors, and your best bet is research. Find out what they spend on, the keywords they use, types of techniques they use.

SEO and SMM are a hit and try, you may launch a campaign and it will do well. You may launch another one, and it might fail. You should then remove it, or reshape it to suit your needs. It all just comes down to optimizing your website such that it ranks higher in SERP.
